Meet SuChang, Chief Whisker Operator
SuChang, our Chief Whisker Operator (CWO), joined our founder's household when Dexter was still an only child. A friend discovered Su in Hartford, Connecticut, after her previous owner had to move to an elderly care facility that didn’t allow pets. With no one in the extended family willing to adopt her, Su found her forever home with us. As CWO, SuChang is ideal for the job. She knows how to maintain control and keep everyone in line. Her daily duties include overseeing the household, ensuring that all pets (dogs) follow the rules, and keeping the environment calm and orderly.
SuChang's Story
Initially, Su was a very scared recluse. Even in her first home, she was known for hiding and avoiding people. She was particularly fearful of Dexter, who was equally wary of her. The neighbors also hesitated to visit if Su wasn’t safely secured in a bedroom.
With time, love, and patience, Su transformed into a friendly, outgoing, and lovable pet. She now craves snuggles and enjoys greeting visitors. When guests arrive, she trots out to meet them, demanding pets with her meows. Su even shares her bed with the rest of the pet team, except for Charlotte, because of her very high prey drive. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just how some dogs are wired.

Su's annual vet visits show her now affectionate nature. She purrs and head-butts her doctor and the vet techs. Knowing she’s finally home, Su has much less to fear. Dexter, however, remains cautiously respectful, always keeping to his side of the bed.
As CWO, SuChang is ideal for the job. No matter how soft she's become at heart, she knows how to maintain control and keep everyone in line. Her daily duties include overseeing the household, ensuring that all pets follow the rules - especially the dogs - and keeping the environment calm and orderly. SuChang also monitors playtime and nap schedules, making sure everyone gets their fair share of attention and rest.
